Early Life and Education

Born and raised in Mumbai, India, I left home at 17 to pursue a law degree in Hyderabad. At 20, a semester exchange brought me to Leeds, UK, and it changed my life in profound ways. Here are a few lessons I learned:

Moving to London

In 2020, after graduating from law school, I moved to London to pursue an LLM at King's College London, embracing a fresh start while building on my past experiences and love for the UK.

At 17, I couldn’t fully grasp the vastness of the world. However, my naivety turned out to be a blessing. It freed me from the negative voices that often hold us back. Instead of overthinking, I simply believed: if others can, I can too. This mindset allowed me to dream boldly and work hard, knowing that effort would eventually yield results. Soon, I started enjoying the journey rather than fixating on outcomes.

Challenges and Growth

Moving to London at 22 during a pandemic was daunting. I learned that while the comfort of home is nourishing, it doesn’t satisfy my thirst for growth. Being in challenging environments stimulates my mind in ways I never imagined.

One of the most transformative experiences was serving as the Vice President at King’s College London Students' Union. Working with influential figures like the president of KCL and the Chairman of KCL Council, a former private secretary to Queen Elizabeth II, was beyond my wildest dreams. This opportunity arose because I was open to saying yes to new experiences, even those outside my comfort zone. Becoming a director and trustee of the union at 25 was unexpected, but it all happened because I embraced the unknown.

Current Journey

Currently, I’m preparing for my Solicitor’s Qualifying Examination in London, living each day as it comes. I’m fulfilling the dreams of my younger self, learning to adult in a different country, running a household, building a career, maintaining a social life, eating clean, working out, and sticking to my 6-step skincare routine. Amidst all of this, life happens, and I’m learning to celebrate my small wins. Joy is found not just in achieving goals but in riding the waves of life.

From my first surfing class, I learned that with the right skills, practice, and belief, you can navigate even the toughest waves. A ship is safest at shore, but that’s not what it’s built for – John A. Shedd. Life happens while waiting for the sun; true success is learning to dance in the storm.

The Blog

Through this blog, I’ll share my journey—everything from adulting to adventures around Europe, solo trips, scuba diving, and meal prep. I’ll link to holiday destinations, the best places to eat while traveling, and new hotspots in London. I’ll even share my experience of attending the ERAS tour and tips for preparation.

I invite you to join me on this journey. Let’s build a community where we can put smiles on each other’s faces, even if just for the 10 minutes you spend reading my blog and sharing your thoughts in the comments. Let’s create a safe space for everyone to be themselves.

If no one has said this to you today, let me: I believe in you, I have faith in you, and I love you.

Here we talk about all our firsts and what we experienced and what we learn from it.
